Located 75 kilometres west of Gladstone is the small rural township of Ubobo, one of four towns which are part of the Boyne Valley - including Nagoorin, Many Peaks and Builyan.
Ubobo, the town that fought off Telstra and saved its telephone box. That may not seem a big deal to city slickers, but if you ask any resident - it was worth fighting for.
